Today I had the opportunity to review the website for One Ford Road Realty, a website featuring real estate in the One Ford Road Community and Newport Beach area.
The design of the site is simple and uncluttered, which is always nice. There were a few things that I noticed that seemed to be missing - a telephone number, a profile of the agents, and a search area for listings of the homes. Other than those few things, it has a nice color scheme, and I love that it does not have a million widgets in the sidebar and footer!
For content, I noticed they have school information, which is always helpful for anyone interested in moving to a new area. Their real estate news section, which I assumed would be blog articles, are actual headlines for news and the link takes the visitor away from the blog to the news article. It would probably be better to write and summarize the news articles as your own. This would not only help retain visitors, but also give the site more authority for being knowledgeable about the Newport Beach Area and real estate. Having keyword dense articles can also help you gain more search engine traffic.
As for search optimization and keyword use, I did a quick Google search for “Newport Beach Real Estate” - only 441,000 hits came up, but unfortunately One Ford Road Realty is not on the first page. The good news is that by building backlinks and additional keyword articles to the site, they could easily get into that first page since there is not much competition.
I think their site is well along its way to success, and with just a few additions of content and a search area for listings they can have a very professional and authoritative site quickly. Thank you again to One Ford Realty for giving us the opportunity to review your site.

I would give them similar advice. All research has shown that the number 1 thing consumers are looking for on a real estate site is ability to search. If your site doesn’t offer search, then your potential clients and CURRENT clients will use another realtors’ site and you risk losing both.
It’s funny you say that Mike, there have been times I’ve used competing broker’s sites searching for info instead of my own because theirs was better & I didn’t have access to mls/internet explorer. They have made vast improvements with their latest site design fortunately!
I would give them similar advice.
